First mission - Drop Zone

Lore

2000
The Chechen war is in full swing.

In order to help suppress the revolt, an airborne platoon was supposed to have been flown in into the area near Berezino. The issue is, there has been no contact with this platoon for a while now, and they never arrived at their designated airfield. It must be presumed that their transport was shot down somewhere en route to their destintion. Their condition is currently unknown, but whoever survived the crash can expect to find themselves deep inside hostile territory, potentially surrounded by a fanatical enemy that knows the terrain really well.

A QRF has been dispatched in order to help locate the mission platoon, and hopefully fulfill their original mission of capturing Berezino.

Rules

We're all here to enjoy the game we play, so the biggest rule is to NOT BREAK THE SPIRIT OF THE GAME. If you realize you're doing something, that isn't covered by the rules, but you wouldn't like it, if an opponent was doing it and it made you really mad, don't do it. In case you're not sure, you can always contact the administrator, as they will have the final say. This is here just in case something that isn't covered by the rules happens, so the game administrator can put a stop to it.
  • Slotting
    • solo players slot after squads have slotted and will serve as a balancing force
    • it's permitted to slot people that did not fit in your communities squad into a different squad with the permission of that squad's community
      • these people can either join their community or play and stay with the ones they are slotted with
    • it's forbidden to take over a slot that was owned by someone else during the mission in case of a disconnect without that person's approval

      • preparing an ambush from different sides
      • letting a small group/individual who wasn't caught in a firefight to flank the enemies to aid in said firefight
    • in the case of the last survivor, it's recommended that he tries to establish communications with HQ/different squad and tries to get orders
      • HQ can use this player as a squad of one
    • this rule does not apply to vehicles assigned to squads, as those may be required elsewhere for some period of time if requested by HQ
